I understand that wars and militarism make us less safe rather than protect us, that they kill, injure and traumatize adults, children and infants, severely damage the natural environment, erode civil liberties, and drain our economies, siphoning resources from life-affirming activities. I commit to engage in and support nonviolent efforts to end all war and preparations for war and to create a sustainable and just peace.

Clarifications of Thought / Roundtable Discussions
on Nonviolent Resistance to US Militarism and Global Domination
1st and 3rd Tuesdays @ 7-8:30 pm
Zoom link: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/2787837555
The Ithaca Catholic Worker is focusing our attention, learning, and reflection on a central theme, that is, Nonviolently Resisting US Militarism and Global Domination which includes, but is not limited to, ending all war(s), de-militarizing and disarming ourselves, our communities, and our world, and finding ways to express the gospel calling to love one another by, first, not killing each other with US weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear. In addition, we believe that this focus must always be seen within the context of what Dr. Martin Luther King calls the giant triplets – racism, materialism, and militarism (adding climate disaster) and how these "isms" intersect with each other.
Our Clarification of Thought / Roundtable gatherings will happen in a hybrid style by zoom and in-person at the ICW house as each person desires. We will try to save the zooms for those who may have missed a session.
The zoom link is https://us04web.zoom.us/j/2787837555 for all gatherings below. Please see our website (ithacacatholicworker.org) for more detailed information about each date and how to stay in touch. Feel free to email us at PDMCWhouse@gmail.com.
